Pats day 6 and day 7

Mon 24th October - 6.10pm by Patrick Cosgrave

So yeah, sunday was nice, i spent a great deal of time in the pool in the morning. I got sun burn on my shoulders. water proof factor 50 is not as effective as one might hope. When finally we left the hotel we drove down to a beach, or rather to a jungle near a beach. we walked through the forest for a little while, we saw an old ruined Mosque left there by the Oman Arabs hundreds of years ago. When we finally got to the beach we ate some seafood. Parrot fish have blue bones  Tongue Out.

Mike, kyle, Dighe and myself spent a little while paddling through the rock pools and hunting little fidler crabs. Mike must really hate wild life he punched a lot of the creatures we found. poor crab.

I think i'm putting on weight and that makes me ashamed , some of the students only eat one meal a day at the school.

today (monday) we were at the school all day, i helped set up a rugby lesson and took part in a dance session with kindergarten. Miss page and Miss Riggs do a really good saturday night dance as it turns out, i on the other hand kept slapping the people around me when we switched direction.

I also did a spot of marking with Alex, some of the Standard 8 students had done a science test and we ticked and crossed our way across a few dozen answer sheets.

I've got a few lessons planned out that i'll be glad to try out over the coming week.

The water here tastes funny, still.

Hi Pat,
My last message was very short wasn't it?! That's cos I'm using James's new laptop, in Athens, & he has no mouse. I asked G to help me control the cursor, then, the message went before I got started!
It sounds like your weekend was great fun, half way through your trip, how time flys by! I hope youre getting loads of photos.
Sounds like youve realy taken to teaching.
We are having a wonderfull time with James & Bea. We've been driven out into the mountains, to see the sights, sampled some excelent food ( you'd love it). Today, our last full day we are going to the Acropolis! ( we'll have to get a taxi into the city, as there's a general stike today)
I know you'll be jealous but the water here tastes bloody wonderfull! (fresh from a mountain spring!)
James, Bea & Graham send there love, so did G&Sue, P&Jan, J&Neil, Tammy, Jo, Rowan & SO DO I!!!! Lots& lots! XXXXXXX
