Tue 25th October - 3.34pm by Ben Tanner
Jambo !!!!,
So today was another day at the school but a long one. I woke up at 6:30 and headed up to reception for 7:30 we then had a nice breakfast and heade to get the mutatus. When we arrived, I headed straight intomy first lesson of English which i did with Billy. I twent really well and all the kids enjoyed it.
I did lesson planning for the rest of the day and realxed.
We later headed out at 1 to go to the kids houses, it was really strange because i didn't know what to expect but when i arrived it struck me hard. There house was one room 5 metres br 3 metres and the kid's house we went to had to sleep with the neighbours....
All I know is that when i get home i'm really going to value what i have after seeing what i saw today it is really astounding....
Anyway i came back to the hotel had a short swim and have been on the computer speaking to friends!!!
love you mum, freya, jay, dad paul, dad kevin, Liz, sammy and tom

Darling Ben,
Your blog is really touching and has brought a tear to my eye. As much as I am glad you are having a great time I think you seeing the conditions the chldren are living in is a good thing as it makes you appreciate how lucky you are. I hope you are not too affected by it all though. Ben, of course we can sponsor your friend, just let me know the details and prehaps you can get some information about him. Is there anyway you can keep in touch?
Thank you for writing a bit more detail, I am thinking about you all the time and all of us egarly await your daily news. I hope you are keeping the suncream applied, How are the tablets working? successful? Have you had a bad tum? I hope you are looking after yourself and behaving for Mr Straw and rest of staff. Keep up the good work. It sounds like you are building good relationships with the children and maybe they can learn from you...what a wonderful gift to give!
Love you and very proud, Mum xxxx

ps Ben. Did you read my blog from yesterday? I have set up a monthly payment plan to help support the school. I have tried to see if you are able to sponsor a specific child but cant find any details anywhere to be able to do this. Perhaps you can speak to Mr Straw about this? Let me know x

Hi Kate,
Ben sounds so grown up and His blog made me cry. I await the blogs every day and never stop wondering what the boys are doing. I have read every blog every day (probably twice). I never imagined I would miss Alfie so much (I never have before) but I am so proud of him. I think the boys have all done so well.

Hi Ben,
Sounds like a tough day. it's not easy to see some of these things, however as Mum has said its experiences you can learn from. Keep the blogs coming, it's great to hear all your experiences as they happen. I'm away in Birmingham tonight and I'm sure mum and I will have a chat about Victor when I get back! keep safe, love Dad X

hi ben
sounds like your having the most amazing expereince anybody could have. all i can say is that we are all soooo proud of you. Just always remember that you have realised how lucky we are to live how we do but i bet those children are all happy as well which just goes to prove how materialistic our world is. you enjoy the rest of your time there and we will see you soon.
