alfies blog day 9
Wed 26th October - 6.29pm by Alfie Harrison
jambo rafikis,
today was a rather entertaining day with alex having a monkey poo in his hair and a mongoose chasing me (and btw they can kill snakes)i was quite scared. The experiance today was one of a kind and to think that only 4 days of light work bag packing could pay for 145 kids go to haller park(google it if you dont know what it is) and get soda ( a soft drink)andjam sandwiches which a nice as there were most kids threw them at the monkeys. we also got the privalige of feeding the giraffes the faces of children was piceless. It was also a big day for the teachers to they enjoyed it as much as the kids but they were all so lovely the put they're best clothes on and made and extra effort with there hair the kids loved the paint and well done to louies artistic skills for the exellent paintings the kids got. it really made this day extra special the fact that the kids enjoyed themselves.
p.s mum please can i sponser a child <3

Hi Alfie,
Of course we can sponsor a child. Do you have one in mind or is it any child?
Incidently I'd love to know how yesterday went when you went to see the kids homes as we didn't get a blog from you.
I also wondered if you had read my previous blogs of our holiday or the poem I wrote? Love you lots and please answer my questions. x Mum

Harrison holiday blog – days 4&5
Day 4
Finally managed to get a lie in until 7.30 when Ben decided to leap on the bed and tell me he thought it was up time and he wanted breakfast. It was Auntie Sandra’s last day so we decided to go to Plymouth Marine Park. So, we duly typed in the postcode to the sat nav and set off. All was fine until Sally told us to turn left down what can only be described as a track. I began to wonder if we were on some ones driveway and prayed we wouldn’t meet any vehicles coming the other way. Finally after an incredibly scenic drive we arrived. It was very similar to Brighton Sealife and for me the highlight was seeing the jellyfish – there is something very calming about them. A first for me was to see a 4D show which was brilliant and not something I can do justice if I try to explain it.
Sandra left for home when we got back and we went swimming. I spent the evening awaiting your blog (yesterday was the day I missed you most ) I so wanted to know what you felt about seeing the kids homes (everyone elses blogs were so moving).
Day 5
Dad decided to wake me at about 2.00am after he got back from the Specials concert that he went to with Nick. He was phoning to see what you’d said in your blog (which we never got!).
We got up at 8.00 and after breakfast made a shopping list and wandered into Noss Mayo for our supplies. On the way back we stopped to feed some carrots to a pony in a field which Ben loved. After lunch we went to the pool and when we got back to the cottage we made cheese straws and I endured yet another game of Monopoly with Charlie which I managed to win in just under an hour. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing an extremely boisterous game of hide and seek. It was particularly funny when Charlie decided to hide in the cupboard under the kitchen sink and Joey was searching for him. I was washing up and opened the cupboard and Charlie passed out the washing up liquid and nobody noticed. We have played Cludeo and cards and no one has missed watching telly at all.
Joey is the champion fly killer (we seem to have a problem here with flies), having swatted about 16.
Our plans for tomorrow are to go to a theme park/zoo thing. Question for tomorrow – how many times will we get lost on our journey to and from the park?
Love you and miss you
Stay safe
Mum
